Well it was for sportswoman not tennis player so I guess there was opposition. Last year was all abotu those two though. :)

Serena throughly deserves comeback player fo the year. I know I sometimes criticise her, but that's mainyl cos she bloody confuses me with her ups and downs, you never know what her and her sister are gonna deliver until they turn up and play. What she achieved at the AO was truly remarkable though, me and Geroge watched her annihlation of the hapless Sharapova in the final, it was shockingly brilliant despite it being an awfulyl one sided match. In fact in many ways we were just laughing, you shoudl have heard George slagging of Shara roflmao Poor Maria in many ways, but that was one hell of a grudge match won there for Serena, after what happened in Wimbers 2004 and she milked it for every last drop. So much psychological stuff on that court, so much between them to prove and more so for Serena. I loved the drama, great stuff. :D And of course we were rooting for Serena. I like her now, I never used to before.

Henin is a lesson to us all in dignity, she is superb and one of the best players.
