Have you been reading his blog WA - some of it has made me laugh at times! I'd check it out tomorrow to see if he writes an entry after his victory today!

Roger Federer will need to up his standard significantly if he's to have any chance against the marauding Tommy Haas. The world number 1 has lost sets to Pless and Djokovic, and has looked tired and off form. He was able to stumble to victory at Halle last year despite appearing similarly vulnerable, but he never met a truly in-form player. Conversely, his German opponent has been in excellent form recently and furthermore, doesn't often choke. Providing he doesn't do so tomorrow I expect him to record a straight sets victory over the fatigued Swiss.
7-6, 6-4 to Terrifying Tommy.

Then again, he looked tired and off-form against Robredo in Australia. His next match proved he wasn't!

although i'd like tommy to do well, it stops at federer.
at least these two will make a match of it.

Although As Nick said Roger can always up his game, I feel Haas has a chance tommorw, he is in the form of his life now and Federer hasnt been convincing this week, he pushed Federer hard in Aussie open last year!

I didn't, but from the commentary in the live score thread, sounds like it was a well-played match on both sides. :ok:
