Has anyone seen this guy on Sky Sports?He thinks he knows it all but his actual playing ablity when he was on the circuit was not good.His claim to fame was that he took Sampras to 5 sets at Wimbledon in 2001.So what do people think of him and is he any good as a commentator or when he is in the studio?

Bazza's a legend. He single-handedly nullifies the notion that the Federer-Sampras match bears any significance.

I dont think being a top ten player is a requirment to being a commentator. You need to have good communication and observation skills for that. I havent heard Cowans commentary so i dont know about him though

I actually think Barry Cowan is a pretty good commentator, he raises valid points and is much better than some of the s**t you hear on Eurosport. I also like Peter Flemming on Sky Sports, never looks anyone straight in the eye but tells it like it is :ok:

Cowan annoys me as Murraynator says he acts like his view is right because he is Barry Cowan, and who is Barry Cowan exactly,? a journeyman whose claim to fame was pushing Pete Sampras in eventually a losing cause any way. I do like Chris Bailey though he is pretty laid back and doesnt take himself to seriosuly
