Title: Advanced word association
POSCARS HOST - February 20, 2007 10:46 AM (GMT)
Right, the basic idea behind this is that, like in the original word association, the next post is related to what precedes it.
However, here is the variation.
The first post (after this) will contain one word. The next one must contain two, and so on. It might be a good idea to put the number of words in brackets next to your contribution.
It will be interesting to see if we can get this to work!

Dessert after a nice meal (5)
(btw I encourage people to go off at a tangent with this - if you see one word in there you can write something different about, do it. For instance I would suggest trying to use the word dessert in a different context and spelling now!)

Superbrat seems a wee bit bitter in her previous remark, but is perhaps saved by the emoticon, which some believe will cure all. (23)
Pebs - February 20, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
If anybody knows the cure for an extremely painful bad back, I would be ever so grateful - my back's been killing me all day (24)
SuperBRAT - February 20, 2007 05:58 PM (GMT)
For a bad back, there is no cure but a heat wrap and a nice massage from your hubby might help, plus a nice cider. (25)

Alcohol and water are never a good mix - especially if you are swimming, as if you swim while pissed you could drown or even worse create yellow bubbles! :o

since when has relaxing in a nice hot bath soaking in soothing oils been classed as swimming? Surely relaxation in the previously described manner especially with a good book triumphs (30)*
Sam cheated with 28 again '-' doesn't class as a word!

welshboy91 - February 21, 2007 08:59 AM (GMT)
mix bubbles with bevvys and a great time is guaranteed - the only problem you'll have then is walking to the fridge to get another. I'm sure Mr Pebs though for you. (31)
Mo aka Mz O'Hara - February 21, 2007 10:16 AM (GMT)
aww poor Pebs. Hope her back is feeling much better today and that she wasn't up too late last night testing out all your recommendations, especially not too many glasses of cider (32)
Lex - February 21, 2007 11:54 AM (GMT)
I reckon that if Pebs' back is not better, she will make an appointment with her friendly neighbourhood osteopath who will soon have her right as rain although the treatment might hurt slightly :( (33)
Pebs - February 21, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
thank you all for the kind words. My back has improved after a hot bath last night and spending the day in training today so didnt have to keep twisting round to help kids. (34)

i am lucky, i never get a bad back. the only thing that has affected my health in my adult life was a stomach ulcer i had, but it was cured a while ago now :)

methinks that liam has misconstrued the true meaning of this thread having posted a reply to the lovely Pebs to simply add a retort which demonstrates his personal situation at this particular moment in time (35)
