Justine should make the final :ok: with Jankovic, Hiingis or MoMo coming through the bottom half!

dl04 - February 18, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
Lets hope Justine is playing well, the tourny's kind of diminshed for me with no Serena :(

Still i'll be concentrating on Memphis so its not all bad

LDF - February 18, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
Allez Justine! :yahoo:

Thanks lDF, i was seeing double with the names

I hope Meghan Shaughnessy can get a win, 0-4 this season

Hantuchova vs Vesnina should be a great first round, if both are playing well :ok:

Well you expect her to get a bagel against a girl ranked 205  personally i hate Makiri and was cheering for the Romanian girl!

And the schynder and Schiavone match was good some very entertaining rallies and they both played well except for some really really wild backhand mishits from Schiavone! :ok:

Russiafan - February 19, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
Singles Qualifying - Final Round
Tamira Paszek (AUT) d. (6) Alberta Brianti (ITA) 62 46 62
Anne Kremer (LUX) d. Viktoriya Kutuzova (UKR) 62 62
Vera Dushevina (RUS) d. Dominika Cibulkova (SVK) 75 64
Emmanuelle Gagliardi (SUI) d. Agnes Szavay (HUN) 75 63

No one too threatening emerging from the qualies... Tamira is a promising young player. And Vera on her day could cause a minor upset....but Emmanuelle and Anne (bless them both) are hardly dangerous players

She has only won 1 match this year, she beat a qualifier in the first round of the AO. However, she did win the doubles title at Sydney with Shaughnessy :)

LDF - February 19, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
Anna-Lena hasn't beaten a single top 50 player since Eastbourne last year

In her match today you could see some of her form was still there just not consistent though!

But she will be a force when her consistency comes back! Hopefully soon! :D
