Description: San Jose

Is anyone watching this? Murrau bagelled Pless in the first set.
Pless took the second in a TB.
Its on serve in the third.
Seems like a good match.

Murray's first serve % in the final set is 31 at the mo. :o
Judging by that stat I don't think this is one I want to follow, and as its now 1.30am in the UK I'm going to bed.

Murray won 6-4 in the third.
Very lacklustre performance though..

hmmm interesting.I will be watching how he does in the next match

He does tend to throw in a smelly match now and then. Remember this time last year he was a set and a break down against Soderling before re-grouping and eventually winning the title.
This should stand him in good stead.
I do fancy him for this title.
Murray  Murray

he os playing ok but I like A Rods chance of crusing through to the title I think Blake in the fial may be tough but if Andy is on fire he can snap a 2 match loss streak as he did have a great record v Blake till then

Murray beat Roddick in the semis last year in San Jose and he will again this year. :ok:
Regarding Murrays last night i dont think its anything to worry about its called winning ugly which Brad Gilbert was the master at.

Murray won his first two matches against Andy when Andy was at an all time low and his game does match up well to Andys, but Andy since then has been in great form and he did thrash Murray in Cincy on the way to the title, and he did beat him In Kooyong albeit in an exhibtion, in my mind there is no doubt A Rod now has the momentum in this head to head.

Come on Ark man Murray could hardly walk in that match at Cincy let alone run you gotta come up with a better example than that. :tsk:

In the three weeks before that Murray had reached the semis of Newport, the final of Washington and the semis of Toronto/Montreal (cant remember which), he had then had to battle past Henman and Ginepri (a long match) and obviously Federer which has got to take it out of you.....and 6-4 6-4 is hardly a thrashing...
However an interesting match up....

I don't think we can set much stock by those matches. A-Mur was quite clearly knackered in Cincy, and an exhibition is an exhibition, after all.
However, there's no doubt that A-Rod has improved since Murray last beat him. So this one will be really interesting. In my mind, I might give A-Rod a slight edge over A-Mur, but I think that the form on the day will really decide who goes through.
Of course, the match-up has to happen first ...

Thanx :) Nice to know some one shares my view :) Of course on the day you never know what can happen all im saying is that despite Murrays wins against A Rod in San Jose and Wimby its A Rod who will go in with the momentum now in his head to heasd.
Even if Murray was tired in Cincy they level Roddick played at both at Cincy and US Open we saw the only person that could beat him was Federer at the top of his game even then he was pushed.
