Incidentally, its a match Rafter went on to win and in fact the first time he beat Sampras in 9 attempts since their 1st meeting in 1993 which Rafter won. The match also has a very interesting ending. It was a great match, worth checking all of the clips. B)

Al, I had a similar problem last week. What I found works is "saving target as" - this saves it onto your disc and it plays happily.

I checked with my web hoster. Looks like I got too greedy. My clips have gotten bigger and bigger, many of them well over 6 minutes, consequently they are taking too long to download. I'll have to reduce the size of the clips in future.

Mine only took a few seconds to download, and I thought they were in limbo somewhere on my PC but after doing a search nothing there. Looks like they've disappeared (I hope) ... Ill try Nicks suggestion now :ok:

Good news, the clips seem to be downloading quickly again ( a couple of minutes). Maybe the technical glitch has been sorted.

Glad you like that D104. I've also added the 1994 Miami final between Sampras and Agassi.

Now, this is a nice contrast because it really shows how Sampras' game changed as he got older. In 1994 he stays back on serve a lot more, 1st and second serve and doesn't chip and charge once, much more the baseliner in that period of his career.

Thinking about that does make me laugh how people would come on BBC message board and say Sampras could only serve - because they only saw him play on grass I suppose and in the 1990s grass was all about serve and volley save for Agassi winning in 1992 and getting to the final in 1999.

I too, as is well documented in threads on this website, get a bit odd tempered by people suggesting Sampras could not hack it from the back. He played much more from the back early on in his career and he played brilliantly from there.

Federer is indeed a great player and will be a legend, but I think people often forget that Sampras was a legend as well.
