Hey scolios, I hope Rafa isn't seriously injured :( Anyway, he should win from this point...

Injured??? There was NOTHING wrong with him! he pointed at his throat and his banana as though he'd got a bit of banana stuck in the previous break, but he wasn't choking or anything. Very weird. looked very much like a bit of gamemansship to me!

Anyway, it's now 2-1 to mathieu in the 4th, both held their serves. and nadal looks distintly rattled .)

Is it just me or is the match going at a really slow pace, all the games seem to be extremely long :huh:

I have to admit that I'm cheering on Mathieu, Dav. i think it's Dr S's poison about Fed that has got to me and turned me a bit against Nadal, which is grossly unfair to the young man - esp as it's his brthday today :) Anyway, he has now broken Mathieu's serve and is ahed 3-2 in the 4th set. Of course he'll win! It is not so much a SLOW match as one in each game goes to deuce - if mathieu is serving, several times. incredibly exciting - worthy of a fnal. And the crowd at RG are doing their nut over it ll! Back to the TV....

Yes but it's been a very exciting match. nadal was really under pressure - the first time I'v ever seen him looking stressed, to be honest.

Yes, it really was, wasn't it. it should have been the final. great tennis from both of them - but also poor shots from both of them, too. But Matthieu was the surprise - he's great at the net, and that is difficult againsyt nadal. Fed at the net usually loses points against nadal, but mathieu was able to win a lot. Anyway, a worthy victor but no mean loser either :bow: to them both!

I watched most of the match and I loved just simply loved that guys play.

Sounds like it was a really good match. I read a little bit of the thread on BBC about it. That "Dr. Sincere" gets pretty tedious, doesn't he? I mean, you're following a great match between Nadal and Mathieu and, still, every post from him is about Federer . . . :rolleyes:

I hope Blake can come out well tomorrow and win over Monfils. I see they were suspended at one set apiece, so it'll be a best of three tomorrow.

congratulations to nadal for coming through and to mathieu for making it damn hard! he really pushed him untill allmost the very end! :clap: very aggresive all through the match, good netgame, made some mistakes at the important points especially off the forhand. those passing shots on the run by nadal are really something! dodgy line calling too.

the obsesive compulsive duo have realy ruined it for the FO this year :devil:

Fabulous match!! Amazing hitting, good variety, and yes, would agree that Rafa was ruffled by this one!!

Was indeed a pleasure to watch, and for me, the match of the tournament so far :)
