Title: Player coaching

For the second time in the tournament, Maria was having problems and the few minute of on-court coaching allowed between sets had her coach calming her down, bringing her back on track so she could go on and win.

Personally, I hate this (and not because I don't like Maria). I feel that the player needs to win themselves and not because the coach is able to force them to overcome their personal quirks. Tennis forces the player to find their inner strength to win, physically and mentally. This doesn't have them require it anymore.

I say we need to kill the system.

Well I don't completely hate it. But I do think we would better off without it, as tennis is afterall an individual sport and is about two people there in the moment.

Tennis is as much a mental game as it is a physical one.It is important that a player should play for himself out there. That's the beauty of the game isn't it?
