COME ON ENGLAND! :D

Obviously you know who is back... Could well make the world of difference that!

Also four tigers in the England team which should help them to a comfortable win :)

Scotland, apart from Italy, are the worst side in the championship I am sure

Lex - February 2, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
wouldn't write off Scotland Sam, they have been having a bit of a renaissance

btw - congratulations on rof-lmao restraint

:ok:

petalp - February 2, 2007 08:30 PM (GMT)
Well.. I just want to see England play fast, creative rugby, and of course with a bit of steel to go with it!

Not asking for too much then! ;)

I remember when they won the Grand Slam at Landsdowne Road in 2003, and they were amazing.. and then a remarkable tour down under, with of course the big highlight in Sydney later that year :)

But recently they have been sluggish, laboured in their play, lacking bite, imagination.. The bold selections are good, and hopefully they will remember how to play rugby when they put those white shirts on.

Probably will be an evenly matched 6 nations, I would think..

well, we seem to have a nice mix of old and new to give it our best shot...

but I wouldnt write off Scotland either, I did that last year and they had a good six nations and took the bloody cup - beating us at home didnt they?

I've tried to wipe it from memory so am hazy on details...

me too hun. dont know much about the new coach, but like his selection and am pleased to see JW back (please dont injure yourself in the first two seconds!) so am hoping for some good stuff.

I also remember those wonderful times - despite more booze being consumed then! For the final World Cup game, we had everyone round for bacon butties and much shouting! When they won, I cried, stuck Queen on the stereo extra loud and for the first time ever (and probably the last), danced in the front window with the St George flag!

Happy days :)

I thought that, and was really surprised. I know they are a good side but I always put the expectation on France. And Wales didnt do so bad the last couple of years either!

Infact, the only sides I wouldnt really say much about are our own because they are such an unknown quantity at the moment (I am hoping to feel alot more positive about them after this afternoon!) and Italy, who bless them, are more likely to get the wooden spoon. That said, they surprised me last year, so who knows?

I am just hoping for some good matches, lots of shouting and England coming out on top :D

If Wales don't win then I wouldn't mind if either England or Scotland won :) Of course not many people seem to think Scotland have a chance

quite agree Petalp - I thought they had a really good game today - very encouraging. I was listening to the after chat and it was all about how we shouldnt read too much into this blah, blah, blah, but I thought they did some fine rugby.

Had to laugh at the comment about the TMO not being English but might as well be - even I, biased as I am, said when Jonny went over the line it wasnt a try - he was in touch before then! Still, who am I to argue? ;)

hated how they rubbished Johnnies try and then congratulated Scotland for on when it was a blatant foul in the line-out!

Well done England, very encouraging
