I'd have put in Apple and Raspberry J20, but it isn't alcoholic.

:wine:

I'm primarily a red wine drinker. I do occasionally go for some of the sour-ish cocktails, like a Margarita or Long Island Iced Tea.

I quite like whisky too with a bit of lemonade. :D

SuperBRAT - January 25, 2007 12:03 AM (GMT)
Where do I start? roflmao

Fave beer- Budvar (only the original Czech stuff, Budweiser sucks!); Guinness, it's good for yer!

Fave Spirits - vodka - Zubrowska (Polish Bison grass); frozen and occassional!; Bombay sapphire gin (blue and superb) with tonic; Wild Turkey American Whiskey and coke.

Fave wine - Champagne (Canard Duchenne):D; Very dry whites - pinot grigio, orvietto, verdicchio, chenin blanc, currently into Chilean sauvignon blanc. Occassional reds : best is Italian Valpolicella BUT only Amarone type which I can't afford any more! a light French Beaujolais and a rounded Spanish Rioja.

Fave cocktail - long Island Ice Tea and a Whisky Mac.

Anyone want any drinks advice you know where to come! :D

P.S. word of warning - NEVER drink Knob Creek! roflmao or white cider.

Lex - January 25, 2007 10:00 AM (GMT)
Crikey! I'm with you on almost all of those SB ;)

I do like Knob Creek though and my fave Champagne is Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque.

Hmm, no-one's mentioned Janx yet ;)

I do enjoy a frozen Grasowska Vodka - it tastes of freshly mown hay.

Good taste Lexi! :D

Yep the Vodka I have i aromatic and grassy. I used to drink Stolichnaya but it tastes bland now. I only drink spirits in moderation, so they are occassional depending on my mood. Haven't tried that champers, is it expensive? The one I like is the best I've had so far - a lot of the brands seem patchy, as I discovered with Bollinger after a while. Moet is rubbish and Mumm is really gassy. Often a sparkling dry white wine is better and cheaper, I'm quite keen on that Aussie stuff. :D

I hate Knob Creek because my friend and I drank the best part of a bottle after a heavy night out and paid the price roflmao

Big Al - January 25, 2007 12:42 PM (GMT)
I like Stella on draught . Also Guinness but its an acquired taste.
I also love red wine with a meal and a glass of port afterwards.

Plus Janx as you all know...

liam_valid - January 25, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
I love carling lager. but i dont like the new carling cold. Im a big fan of strongbow too. Vodka, whiskey, brandy, bacardi, rum all knock me sick :ill: Gin goes down a treat though and im well into jaegermeister and sambuca atm

Tennis_Mad_Andy - January 25, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
SB what does Guinness actually taste like? I've never had it but I have thought about trying it! My fave alchoholic drink is probably something like Fosters, bit of a beer man myself, absolutely cant stand drinking whiskey, makes me feel sick!

ElHuegi - January 26, 2007 12:00 AM (GMT)
Personally, I'm a big Tequila fan:

Also like beers of all shapes and sizes (Actuall, only all shapes :P). Depicted is "Vollmond". A rather obscure Swiss beer. I know of only one place that serves it. Then again I do live quite a distance away from the (small) brewery.

Can't go wrong with a good bottle of wine either. Merlot is my poison of choice.

A good pint of draught Guinness has a really smooth creamy rich taste .
But it varies a lot. I wouldnt drink it out of a tin or bottle .

Monica Davriati - January 27, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
I don't drink. My Father and husband do though, quite heavily, mostly scotch and Victroria Bitter.

if you right click on the image on the website then choose properties. You can copy the address where the pic is hosted by highlighting and <ctrl> c 'ing it.

On here click on the IMG button then <ctrl> v the web address into the pop up and there you go ;)

Some sites don't allow you to link to the images (using their bandwidth) so if that doesn't work, then you might have to sign up to photobucket and then copy the image there.

I had guinness in the Dubliners' bar in Dublin some 20 years ago. There were so many people there and it was so hot that I fainted. The guinness didn't do very much for me either roflmao

I'm a big real beer drinker, also a huge wine fan, primarily Red, it has to be an expensive White for me to drink and enjoy it.
Can't touch most spirits, apart from a good whisky.

Guiness is hard to describe. I'ts more about the feel if it beign so smooth I think. It is quite bitter, but I like that. In most pubs Guiness is rubbish so I only drink it if it's well kept. The cans aren't bad mind. I hated it first time I tasted it, but after a few it was lovely. :)

Trisco, you seriously need to go down our local with George. He's into real ales and also they have Hoegaaarden which George is only allowed a few of as it gets you trolleyed. I understand it is not a lager but a white beer. Nice stuff. :) I hope Geroge's home brew is as good! He's suddenly started making his own lager! roflmao
