Murray v Nadal. Federer v Djokovic - different halves. Whatever the results, we have established talent v emerging talent and whatever the result, it can only give confidence to the victor!

Stretching the boundaries of the word 'talent', we've also got Berdych vs Davydenko. The only one where I feel the emerging talent has any chance whatsoever.

Well I don't say I disagree with you there, but I have to say I'm not used to you, in effect, gifting a Federer win, especially against an opponent who has at least a shadow of a chance. What's changed? Is it the board?
Autre temps, autres moers maybe?

The matches are definitely starting to have a bit of spice to them!! :D Makes for an exciting period in the tournament. :ok:

Whilst there is a fair bit of established talent v new talent, am thinking that the AO is less of a place for the big shocks, at least on the men's side. It will be interesting to see how many of the new talent make the last 8..

Well said petalp. Of the 'new talent', there is now only Murray and Berdych left with a chance to make the quarters, and they both face tough opponents with Nadal and Davydenko.

I'll give Berdych the best chances --- he's been in really good form so far. However, Davydenko hasn't dropped a set yet either, so it should be a good match. Pity I won't be able to watch anything tomorrow :(

The second half of the fourth round matches should be interesting. Five of the eight men left in action on the bottom half of the draw have yet to drop a set in this championship. (And if you're wondering which ones, Nalbandian is NOT in that group. :) )
