Great win for Ivanovic and harkleroad. Also good to see Molik back on the comeback trail and playing well.

Clijsters storming through again( roflmao )

Sharapova in much better form than her torrid start. Rodiona had simply zero weight of shot from the back of the court.

This is the only most exciting news up there!

Kostanic knocked out Aussie No1 Stosur in 3 sets, looked to be playing well but Stosur wasn't her best.

Pretty academic results really. I'm dissapointed that Radwanska went to 3 with Ivanovic and lost, I was getting excited for my prediction comp result there. :D

Unlike those powerful ground strokes she was getting from her first-round opponent.

Good win for Harkleroad. She's showed a lot of promise at times, but has never seemed to be able do get a consistent run going. What do you reckon her chances are against Hantuchova?

Daniela hasn't exactly been impressive so far during this tournament - she was struggling with a virus before this week and that contributed to less than ideal preparation.

Dani will be controlling the points, so if she manages to keep her errors down then she shouldn't have too many problems. Ashley lacks a huge weapon, but she could chase down a lot of balls and frustrate Dani (I'm sure that was the case against Groenefeld, who as we know if just playing horrendous error-strewn tennis at the moment). I wouldn't be completely surprised if it went to 3 sets, though I don't see anything other than a win for Hantuchova.

Harkleroad has been showing promise but ALG

Mucking up my predictions
And Vaidisova being taken to three

Anyway no real shocks, I think Daniela will probably win in straight sets.

it could get ugly, but dani in 3.

Yes, but Pin was able to track down a lot of balls and at least create a few difficult angles for her opponent. Rodionova had no patience or desire to try and rally with Maria. nor was she able to, tbh ;)

Yeah, i cant see Daniela losing this match really, but i can never be too sure with the enigmatic Slovakian  roflmao

Harkleroad doesnt take the ball particulary early, so she wont be pushing Daniela around the court( which is usually key to beating Daniela). Ashley's best bet is to just get the ball back to a good enough length and hope for the mistakes. We know how Daniela's poor footwork around the forehand can sometimes be her un-doing, so we'll see. Honestly though, if Daniela is serving well and maintaing precision and depth from the baseline, it really should be a win for Daniela in 2.

Though as some have suggested, could go the distance
