In what was so far one of the most exciting matches thusfar.Russian headcase Marat Safin pulls another 5 set scraper. This match had it all.Dram, the rain, the roof and yes guys Becker diving!

What will Safin do next?I hope he stuns the obnoxious tennis of Roddick! That is what Im looking forward to.

Thoughts gius!

Unfortunately i didn't see the match but it sounds great. Look forward to seing Safin play Roddick
just checked there H2H and its 3-3. I just hope two five setters in a row hasn't drained Safin too much, though the last set looks as if it wasn't too draining. Like you Dark i'ld be wanting Safin to overwhelm Roddick's agitated dimension game, but i have my doubts

Good that we are on the same page Todge....Roddick will get a rude surprise from Marat. That wham bam Let rush the net and ugly volley maam tennis will simply not cut it this time!

Go Marat!

The way Roddick serves makes it difficult for him to follow in to the net, his serve has great pace yeah,
but doesn't seem to get the momentum to travel effortlessly forward-like Henmen for eg, i can’t
put my finger on it as i’m not a player myself but it’s just really awkward looking. He still looks lost
at the net too. Safin on the other hand has some touch at the net, he doesn’t go forward that often which is
a shame but that’s how the modern game is i guess.

I am a player Todger and Roddicks technique from my point of voiew is very unatural and actually will hurt your body.He is just too rushed. When gets there its like what do I do next!

Anyway,lets hope Safin drills him!

Safin in form can beat Roddick. Unfortunately for him Roddick is on a high at the moment and is playing well with high confidence. Safin is tired and playing quite badly - Roddick to win in 4.

Thank god for Safin, or this day in melbourne would've been really boring  roflmao

It was not easy viweing though  Safin at times on the forehand side looked so frail. The footwork never that complete on that side, and he takes it late. Thank god he found some wonderful inspiration on that shot in the decider. It was so touch and go in the fourth :phew:

Sela though, my god what a performance. made the match truly awesome :ok:

Safin will need to serve so much better against Roddick though, percentage wise. Lets hope he does. I have a feeling about Safin on friday, something great will happen ;)

I really want him to destroy Roddick!
