The only thing wrong with her is she is too good looking.

I have been watching bits of it and I feel that they are picking on the Indian lady, esp Dani and Jade (I can't stand either of them and if they are celebrities I am the Queen of England...
The whole show is a mess....

Hi chairman (nice to know you are OK), it's true though, that Dani sleeps with Teddy S and she is a Celeb? Figure that one out

Yes it true Alison, thats all she does, keeps our ageing football players happy. Still very pretty though.

RE: chairman, yes she is a very "pretty" girl, but that does not make her a Celeb, she may be "pretty", but she is a very nast girl, her treatment of the Indian Lady is very nasty and ugly, I don't like people bullying others and I think thats what she is doing (along with the worthless Jade), two very bad examples of Celebs in the UK...

Unfortunately, there is so many of the trash flashing about these day. I can imagine how the likes of Justine would handle them two. They will probably do a runner. roflmao

I think the show sucks, but I think it is bloody hilarious that 3 celebs walked out almost immediately! roflmao Says it all really. Oh and that they have Jade Goody in it, who is only a so called celeb becausee she was in BB before.

People all over the country sitting in a house, watching a bunch of other people sitting in a house. How exciting. :/
Mo aka Mz O'Hara - January 16, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
I think it is a pile of shite quite honestly. I have seen a few moments here and there and read about some of it in my daily. The way Shilpa is being treated is a disgrace. I am sick to death of Jade...how thick can someone be without being brain damaged, honestly. And the fact that her boyfriend Jack, asked 'what an Embryo was' beggers belief and Jade's mother is a nasty piece of work. Maybe they are to thick to realise they are being racist, but that so called beauty queen and Jo, or whoever she is, do know better.
Nope it is not entertaining. Watching paint dry is more entertaining.
The Dav - January 16, 2007 05:06 PM (GMT)
Well of course I'm watching it :D
Poor Shilpa, her treatment has been appalling, C4 are in some deep **** right now, nearly 5,000 people have made complaints alleging racism :o
liam_valid - January 16, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
Shilpa is the one inciting racism if you ask me. She is being picked on because she is arrogant and stuck up, not because of her skin colour. And when she said to Jerome 'are you married to a lady of colour?' and he replied 'of course'. It is them pair that are bringing the colour issue up

What's been going on there then?
I must say the few brief moments I've seen that Shilpa comes over as arrogant and precious of herself. I don't know her or much about her but my first impressions aren't good. Not defending racism though, assuming it has occurred.

You can't justify Danielle calling her a 'dog' though, or saying that all Indians eat with their hands...
Give me arrogant and stuck-up any day of the week over those ignorant swines...

As much as i dislike it, what do they expect coming on here. Whenever Pete Burns opened his gob last year i had to turn over because i couldnt stand seeing him upsetting people for ne reason. Celebrities should not come on a show like this if they cant handle being picked on. Im not condoning it though, im a pacifist and i would probably cry if they spoke to me like that

Well tbh people go on this show knowing fully well what they are going to get, so I fail to find much sympathy for people once the shit kicks off. They are all in it for the money, fame or whatever they get out of it. No one would do it for fun would they. I hear Shilpa is very big in Bollywood so why she'd go on BB is beyond me if she is famous in the biggest film industry that there is.
Interesting though that the woman who alledges racism uses the term 'woman of colour'. I though that kind of statement was supposed to be racist in itself, at least it was when I was last trained up for equal opps languge. I understand it is more accpetable to simply refer to one's race or ethnic origin. Just sounded a bit odd to me. :)
Btw what prompted Jade to say all Indians eat with their hands then? I know it is meant to be insulting and it sounds a really awful thing to say. Just makes me laugh though cos I've been told off by Asian people a lot in the past cos I use cutlery. I've also been in this SriLankan restaurant and most of the customers eat a curry with a flat bread and rice without cutlery, and it absolutely amazes me how they can do this without any mess  Mayeb Shilpa shoudl have told her that this involves skill, or said that at least they dont; eat out of troughs! roflmao

I totally agree. You come on this show and know that you are potentially going to get crap. Either that or you come on cos you plan to be the aggressor. Any other idea abotu what may happen is just plain naive. Celebs also knwo what the media is like so no excuses really. I hated Pete Burns - he was a right two faced cow and a nasty bully, such a stirrer. What I hated even more though was how people failed to stick up to him. Pathetic.

I doubt she went in expecting racist taunts and bullying, I doubt many would, I certainly wouldn't, that's not what the show is about...
SB - She simply asked Jermaine 'Is your wife black', and as for the food comment, well there was that, and there was also, 'No wonder all Indians are so skinny when they're all so unhygenic', yes, that's a justifiable comment

Oh dear! Well that's a stupid comment to make. Especially as it is incorrect - there are Asian people of all shapes and sizes just as there are Western people. I'm shocked anyone would be outwardly racist on TV, even on progs like BB. Then again it's nto like people on there dont; get discriminatory and personal with their insults on that show racist or not, so I'm not surprised over all.

Good Lord! Well I hope that they raise awareness that changes things for good - nto just on racism but issues of discrimination of all kinds and bullying. I had no idea it was so serious, I must go read something on the net.
Anyway who is the hot favourite to win it then? I hardly know anyone who is left I don't think, I do remember Cleo off Kenny Everett and of course the Jackson brother but they have hardly been in the limelight of late. I could not believe Ken Russel would go in there though.
Pebs - January 16, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
I have been casting an eye over it - Mr Pebs is addicted to anything vaguely related to BB, but it quickly lost interest for me when Donny walked out followed by Ken Russell (would love to have heard his stories) and then just as Leo was getting interesting - showing us what a complete diva he was and falling apart at the seams, he bloody walks too!
As for the racist stuff, I think its more a case of young girls being bitchy - two of whom have a fair amount of air in their heads. Its real playground stuff and its horrible to watch - I cant stand bullying in any form. Some of their comments do certainly cross the line into racism though and I hope they get their knuckles wrapped for it.
I dont have time for Shilpa, I think shes a bit of a manipulator on the side and has possibly caused this rift, but she doesnt in any shape or form, deserve bad treatment.
I have grown a tad weary of the whole BB thing now. The experiment was a novelty at first but has become nothing more than a freakshow for the normal BB or a way to revive a flagging career, start a new one or earn a pot of cash for the 'celebs'.

Whenever Pete Burns opened his gob last year i had to turn over because i couldnt stand seeing him upsetting people for ne reason. Celebrities should not come on a show like this if they cant handle being picked on. Im not condoning it though, im a pacifist and i would probably cry if they spoke to me like that |
I doubt she went in expecting racist taunts and bullying, I doubt many would, I certainly wouldn't, that's not what the show is about...
|
|
Apparently the issue is being raised in the house of commons :o
|
|
Cleo Rocos (From Kenny Everett) is the favourite to win, with Shilpa closing in on her fast, Dirk Benedict (From the A-Team!) is 3rd :)

Cheers :) The A team? OMG this really is has been stars of the 80s isn't it? roflmao
