I don't know why, but as I get older, I am warming to players I couldn't give two hoots to a few years ago. Marat being one of em.

BB played well and made Marat run. I would love to see Marat back to the 1st or 2nd spot. He is definetely the real number 2 out there but with his nagging knee injury there is no chance so in the meantime let's get from him what we can (or what he can give us).

Worse things have happened ... I read recently about a professional German football player who came over to England (I think at the end of the nineties), and to his surprise found that his fans called him 'porno', apparently because of his moustache ... he might have preferred 'boom boom' :P


That being said, I like Ben Becker, and not just because he's a compatriot. I saw him play against Fed in Japan, and he's a really classy player.
