Russia's Marat Safin beat David Nalbandian 5-7 6-1 6-2 before the Argentine withdrew from the event because of a knee injury.
His place in the Kooyong draw has been taken by Chile's Fernando Gonzalez, the world number 10.

Tough one to call. I can see basically any possible result, from 2-0 A-Rod to 2-0 Murray, but I think I'll give the edge to A-Rod this time.

Liam - 57% (pretty good for someone who apparently knows nothing about men's tennis!)
