Federer Wins Fourth Halle Title
ATP World No. 1 Roger Federer won his fourth straight title in Halle, defeating fifth-seeded Czech Tomas Berdych 6-0, 6-7(4), 6-2 in one hour and 35 minutes. Federer became the first player to capture an ATP event four years in a row since Russia’s Yevgeny Kafelnikov, who won Moscow from 1997-2001 (five times). The victory gave Federer 41 straight wins on grass, tying Bjorn Borg’s Open Era record.
Queens
Hewitt King of Queen's Again
Eighth-seeded Lleyton Hewitt won his fourth Stella Artois Championships with a 6-4, 6-4 win over No. 5 seed James Blake in 66 minutes. The win made Hewitt the first four-time champion here since Boris Becker (1985, ’87-88, ’96). John McEnroe also achieved that feat (1979-81, ’84). He has a sterling career mark of 30-5 at Queen’s Club.
Why has veryone voted for Halle??? Germany already has a masters....
And perhaps that Masters on clay could be replaced by one on grass!
Anyway, I don't think that point really helps Queens ... after all, Britain has a GS, which Germany doesn't :)
