Good result from Mirza who seems to have found her form again - shame for Molik though (at least she seems to be winning a few matches again though)

Chakvetadze struggled a bit early on but then took control - Mirza could provide her with a few problems in the semis though.

And yet another Russian - don't know much about Bardina but she's down well here considering she had to qualify.

Tough loss but it was to be expected after the Safarova near miss. Still she has picked up some match practice so could easily scrape through the first few rounds at the Australian Open and then who knows maybe something will click and she'll get on a roll - don't count her out just yet.
