mightyjeditribble - January 5, 2007 07:31 PM (GMT)
Well done Andy! He got revenge for the beating he received at the USO then ...
Sounds like Davy had some injury trouble; did anyone watch?
Anyway, Andy  :bigwave:
Tenez - January 5, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
I did watch and yes Davydenko had an ankle or leg injury and asked for a couple of time outs. He looked quite concerned (probably about his AO chances).
Well done to Murray who has played a few good shots but what annoys me a bit is his passive game. He looks for the opponent's mistakes most of the time and rarely dictates the rally first. A kind of Hewitt with some weapons but less legs.
Doha suits him very well cause the court is slow and allows him to retrieve many shots. Should be an interesting match tomorrow.
Murraynator - January 5, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
He does have the power though some of the backhands he hit were amazing when he flatted them out and really went for them.
Tenez - January 5, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Yes I agree and I mentioned he played some nice shots, especially on the BH.
Alison2006 - January 5, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Well done Murray beating Davydonkey (I don't think I could have faced a Ljubicic/Davy final.......)
I think I might have given up watching mens tennis.... but with Murray I feel there's hope
