The only glimmer of hope for England is that four years ago, an even worse English team managed to avoid the 5-0 in the last test, and actually won by an innings...

I am horrified by England's performance. What the HELL happened in the middle of the second test??? How did they go from 551 - 6 and getting Langer out to that pathetic breakdown? I'm asking sersiously, I didn't see the highlights or anything....
Anyway, I think England can prevent a whitewash. I just don't think they WILL... :(

Hmm I can't say I always take what Ian Botham says at face value to be honest roflmao
He made an absolute fool of himself by slagging england off after they lost the first ashes test in 2005, only for England to prove him spectacularly wrong! I'll always remember Ashley Giles having a dig bag, saying that the like of Botham only slagged England off in the ashes because they didn't want to be emulated!

Hmm. If I hadn't seen the first part of the second test, I'd have to agree. But back then, they showed potential... Oh well bugger it. They've got until 2009 to improve. No excuses then please.
At this point, I'd just like to pay tribute to Shane Warne :bow:
