I cant; think of a good sports film, they are generally awful liek that drawn out baseball epics - Everybody's All American with Kevin Costner as the ex baseball player is one of th emost cringeworthy films of all time.

Cool Runnings - abotu an unlikley Jamaican bob sleigh team is hilarious though so I'm pickign that. :D And it is based on a true story!

Ye that and Bend it Like Beckham are the only two decent sportsfilms I've ever seen. They're normally so cheesy too.

Chariots of Fire is brilliant btw, and the music is wow! :ok:

Not seen Chariots, must do though as it sounds really good.

Any Given Sunday-Awesome Pacino strutting and spitting his way like an alpha male through the movie.

Remember The Titans-Awesome Denzel Washington strutting and .......etc.

I don't understand American Football, but these two are the best I have seen, but they also have good plot lines in addition to the sporting action which lifts them into the arena of very good film making, plus two of the great actors in the world today.

Chariots of fire and Hoosiers.

Have you seen The Rookie? That's a pretty good baseball-themed movie.

I don't know if the movies based on American football have much international appeal, but there have been some good ones, like Rudy and, more recently, Radio w/ Cuba Gooding Jr. ("Remember the Titans" is very good, too, as Brakkus mentioned.)

I also liked Miracle, which was about the 1980 Olympic victory by the US Ice Hockey team. (Again, very US-centric, though.)

And I'll agree with others above that "Bend it Like Beckham" was a good one.

Bend it like Beckham was great as well.
