Title: "The Holding Bay"
Description: Unsure of which thread to use?

petalp - December 3, 2006 11:22 PM (GMT)
This thread is a kind of 'holding section' for you to use when you are unsure as to where to post a particular song that you like..:)

If you are uncertain, then please post it here. It will then be moved to a relevant thread, along with any responses to your posting by others!!

Also this is Madonnas American Life video. I was gpong to put it in pop, but wondered if we would be allowed to have a banned videos/songs category, and maybe even do polls on whether we think the song should have been banned in the first place. Madonna actually withdrew this song, rather than it been banned, so i dont have to worry about Nick :admin: :ban: roflmao Do you think we can do that for a category Petalp??

Petalp, isn't it about time for a "post rock" thread? (iliketrains, godspeed, sigor ros, explosions in the sky, ect)

The dirty three - authentic celestial music;

2 years ago i saw them live, amazing! Really loud (and i've seen Mogwai live...).
One thing you're sure of after seeing D3 live; guitars are for sissies, violins rule!

I was reminded of this song today on Heyupp, when we were having a laugh courtesy of DN :wacko: .
Wasnt sure where to post it, its a bit of a blues classic I gather though Ive only heard it once or twice myself, some great guitar on this .

Didnt realise at first, but thats Jimmy McCulloch on guitar , who 'probably' qualifies as a guitar legend .He played lead guitar with Paul MacCartney and Wings but died in 1979 of a drug overdose.Which was even sadder because he wrote a few anti-drug songs while with Wings eg.Medicine Jar .
