Be honest folks...

welshboy91 - December 2, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
I play every Wednesday. I also try to just do a bit of hitting 1 or 2 times a week.

I try to play 2 times a week, though of course that's harder in the winter...

MrInvisible - December 2, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)
Who's the couch potato who put never!!

I play once a week in winter, twice a week from April-October. And yes, I've even played on snow!

Rarely, I'm afraid :( No facilities and none of my mates play

I always wondered what tennis in the Emerald Isle was like...I take it that there's not too many courts around there?

Not great, too much competition from other sports, we have two national sports in addition to footie, rugby, etc.

There's one large club in my county, but it's too far out for me to go regularly  I have to play in a garden with the fence as a net roflmao

Tenez - December 2, 2006 10:32 PM (GMT)
I play about 3 times a week. a total of probably 7 hours/week. ...And if I hadn't a tennis elbow I'd play more (I know if I'd play less maybe I'd have no tennis elbow but I stopped a full year and a half and did not help much).

I started late so I m catching up.
:)

I'm glad to say I've also recently taken up tennis ... as I said on the other thread, my asthma used to give me too much trouble for it, but I find I'm now able to run a bit more, and now go to some beginners' coaching once a week :D

That being said, I seem to have sprained my ankle running for the phone today.

So I'll have to see whether I'll be ready for training next week ...

I usually play throughout the summer, and hibernate indoors during winter, but that's not an option now as they have a posh sports club that took over the indoor centre, making the money for a court astronomical.

I have a permit for outdoor courts nearby and play or practice once a week.

Russiafan - December 3, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
I play once a week only as my work and social life get in the way of more play. Actually I haven't been to practice for a few weeks....damn essays....but shall be back out in the cold and the wind playing on the luxurious astro-turf courts :D

I'm usually down my club or at Leicestershire club most weeknights now, coaching or being coached! Even at this time of year when it's cold enough to freeze the balls off a penguin!

I'm getting myself badged up with coaching qualis now - though it does start to get stupidly expensive for courses

I've been taking lessons once a week for two and a half years. Not really often enough but I am progressing. Hoping I'll soon be able to play matches with my dad occasionally. Love the game but I can be a bit of a McEnroe if things don't go my way.

Well considering where I am from there are barely any tennis courts , I never used to play there.
Then now I've moved to a place where there is winter for half of the year.
I play some tennis in the summer. Its tough finding people to play with me though.
