Title: Blake v. Murray
Nick Havoc - May 16, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
Just getting the thread ready . . . Who do you think will win? I'm pulling for Blake, as he's a fellow American and one of my favorites. Prior to his win against Moya, his form on clay has not looked that good, though. Will the extra day of rest give him an advantage over Murray??
We'll see . . .

Well I want Blake to win (I'm a baaaad Brit :P) but I'm not sure who will.

Love James Blake but am glad to see Andy managed to beat Gael-so hope he can find his form and a coach asap to build on his talent. I am divided here! :yikes:

Hi Pebs no comments on Greg's performance or lack of it?
Ken001 - May 17, 2006 02:50 PM (GMT)
Murray 0-1 down - broken already :(
Ken001 - May 17, 2006 02:53 PM (GMT)
Murray breaks straight back - 1-1 :)
Anyone guess who I'm supporting?

Oh dear. Its getting to be almost like the old days before Tim Henman arrived on the scene. All Brits to go out in round one or two. Its compulsory :yikes:

1st set well and truly gone. Actually i really did think that Murray would lose this match. He is all at sea and has been for a while now. The sooner he gets a coach the better. He is just not good enough yet to beat the big boys. Sorry. I hope this isnt a whitewash though. It looks like it might be.

Hi Jill
Havent really had a chance to catch up on what hes been up too. Saw he 'crashed out' as do all Brits eventually.... shame - he seemed to be finding his feet a bit on clay.... but he must have remembered he didnt like it!
Shame not to see Tim in action - hope he can get a good showing at RG.

Good show, Blake! :D Next round vs. Ancic should be interesting. Neither is particularly a clay court specialist. Blake seems to be playing well this week, so I'll tip him to win another round.
Several interesting match-ups in the third round . . .

Great match by Blake. Hopefully he can take this to the finals.

Hi Pebs yes poor Greg but then again. Greg it was poor.
Actually its quite depressing the state of them all at the moment. Yes shame Tim was not " allowed" to play ;) there. I was saying on the other thread that Tim has been the best performer this year if you look at the champions race. So he is still our best player. Shame he couldnt prove it this week

Andy just didn't play the right way today, i thought Blake could've been a scalp on clay
