Cool - i'm not a big fan of the women's side, but it's good to have a fan of a few different male players.

I think you may find a few people on here agree with you about Murray.....although a few may not!! I shall happily sit on the fence ;)

I'm a Federer and Safin fan myself!!! it's nice to meet you!

I found it on the web. Thought it suited the username very well... even if I named it after a Natasha Bedingfield song xD

Same, he has the potential to be Top 2 but he just ain't got it psychologically.

Hi,
Welcome to the board.I'm very new myself, but posted quite a bit on the BBC.What are the obvious reasons that you don't like Murray?

Silent Movie - December 2, 2006 11:00 PM (GMT)
Well just his general behavior I find a bit.... off

Granted he has begun to calm down but that Davis Cup Doubles incident against Serbia was just atrocious

fedrules - December 2, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
I missed that as I live in Switzerland so we didn't get coverage. What did he do exactly?

Silent Movie - December 2, 2006 11:20 PM (GMT)
A call didnt go his way so he let out a bunch of expletives at the umpire that was caught on microphone and broadcasted pre-watershed.

He coulda landed the LTA in really hot water and when asked whether he would apologise basically said the umpire was an asshole

... and then he went to say later on that football players swear at officials too.. as if that makes it ok..

No, I'm not a fan of him either.. nor his simpering mother.. He's probably the worst behaved player out of his peer group, throws his toys out of his pram far too often imo..

Oh, welcome Silent Movie btw!! :D like your name and avatar :ok:

I don't care for his mother, but I quite like Andy ...

Not to say that I approve of swearing at umpires, but to be fair he swears at himself too when he's not playing good. He's still very young, and, as much as I am a fan of Roger, a player who wears his heart on his sleeve and brings a lot of fire to the court might spice things up a bit. He might be the new 'superbrat' ... :D

I think I remember someone --- was it Connors --- praising him for getting at the umpire in the summer ... "Sometimes you just have to show the umpire who is boss" or something like that ... rotflmao

That being said, I hope he doesn't start getting nasty, like Hewitt could be, and Nalbandian too at times.

Anyway, give him some time, I'm sure he will mature and calm down. And then we may say 'where has his fiery temper gone? It was more exciting back then ...' :D

Hi Obl!v!on,
Iam new here too and yes I saw you on BBC. In fact, you are one of the most familiar names on there (and here)for me :)

fedrules - December 4, 2006 07:00 AM (GMT)
I'm sure Andy will grow up and behave less stroppily when he's older and more mature and ,while I don't approve of him swearing at the umpire, the 'F word' has almost become part of everyday vocabulary now..I do find his mother a bit irritating, but I don't like 'tennis parents' in general,Sharapov also annoys me.
