Welcome Alison...Sure I know you 100% ;) ...The time I have spent talking with you and the "right" (polite-correct) behavior to follow in a board... roflmao
In any case I really believe there will be no need to re-do this sort of discussion here...Mobs are looking carefully and if a post is offensive then it is eliminated..
As usual I agree with the second player: Marat is one of the all great when his head is cool and he is focusing only on Tennis...
B) Nadal is a great player and his technique ( on clay in particular) is just awesome but his "auto motivation" dancing after winning a point (and even after a double fault of his opponent..He did that in Madrid against Berdy) ...Well this I really do not like too much...
But he is young and with a great "energy" B) ... So He will improve on that side I am sure ;)
But Once again Ciao and Welcome...look forward to having some good discussions with you :D

Hi Alison,
I remember you very well from the BBC boards. We agree about two things ,I believe:I also think Safin is a great player,if a bit erratic, and neither of us thought Rog's Wimbledon jacket was his best ever fashion choice-Mirka must have looked away when he chose that! However, apart from that, I don't think many of our views on the Swiss maestro coincide. ;)
Looking forward to chatting to you in the future.

Good Morning fedrules...Only a question after your last post: Are you a diplomat?
I mean this part:
"and neither of us thought Rog's Wimbledon jacket was his best ever fashion choice-Mirka must have looked away when he chose that! However, apart from that, I don't think many of our views on the Swiss maestro coincide. ;) "
It is just Great Diplomacy... roflmao

Good morning,TV,
Well I thought it would be a good idea to start off on good terms and there's not too much tennis to discuss at the moment.Interesting that Alison made no mention of the GOAT(Sampras to her).Maybe this confirms my view that Sampras is brought up as a last minute argument after Fed has thrashed all of today's opposition :D Wonder what they'll say when Rog has broken all Sampras's records?

Yes, Mobs are watching (but I didn't think anyone else knew about that). Of course, it should read, "....if a poster is offensive then it will be eliminated." :D

WHAT !!!
No way . Absolutely loved that jacket. He is a fashion icon. That jacket was amazing and it made him look amazing.
Fashion changes all the time and you have to move with it.

Brakkus - December 1, 2006 03:52 PM (GMT)
First,hello Alison. :D
Second, there are just too many Federers in this thread,it's like the guy is being cloned. So here's a Baghdatis to even things up a bit. ;)
fedrules - December 1, 2006 03:59 PM (GMT)
Hi Brakkus, like your pic of Baghdatis, one of the most likeable characters on the tour. :D

Me too TV! I thought it was great - very stylish.
Before the Wimbledon final, my fiancee asked "do you think Rafa will come out wearing his own jacket?" Would have spiced things up a bit, for sure ;)
Rafa may need to do some things to get back under Federer's skin if he wants to start winning again, I think ...

I think the fifth Wimby has Federers name on it.
Beating Sampras's and equalling Borgs titles in a row, it will need a very special Jacket to do him justice! B)

Indeed. :bigwave:
But let's hope it comes to that. I know it doesn't look like anyone can touch him, particularly on grass, and he made it look so easy this year.
But of course we know that it's not easy. All it takes is an off-day from Fed and one player who really ups his game --- that's tennis!
Let's hope it doesn't come to that, though!
Alison2006 - December 23, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the welcome from some of you
I won't be posting much until the AO (that's if I am still welcome)
Thanks TV for your kind words
I look forward to speaking with you soon
Wise_Analyst - December 23, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
Hi Alison, just noticed I hadn't welcomed you - my sincerest apologies. Very glad a poster of your calibre will be adding their thoughts during the Australian Open. Look forward to hearing your rational and impartial views.
