Title: Blake Breaks Losing Streak
Nick Havoc - May 15, 2006 12:21 PM (GMT)
I was glad to see one of my favs, James Blake, made it past the first round in Hamburg, with a three-set win over Moya. He has had very little success on clay lately, so I was pleased with that result.
Anybody see the match? Was it good quality?

That's a great result for Blake. I had Moya pencilled in for the winner of the Monfils-Murray match (which I expect to be Monfils :( )

yay for Blake - a fav of mine too!
Given how its been going, I would have expected Moya to have taken this one - hope its the start of a very good run for Blake :)

I dont rate Blake at all . I jut think he has had some good fluke wins

Well, he's no Federer, but I don't think you just "fluke" you way into that many wins. Even on clay, he can be pretty good, when he gets it all together. I'd be quite surprised if he won this event, though. There are a few in the draw who are better than "pretty good" on clay.
