I took a firend to a quiz last year and he knows everything there is to know about Carry On films. Guess what - there was a whole round on Carry ON! roflmao We got 10/10! I dont; midn them, they are a bit dated and sexist though, but they do have that unique British seaside postacrd humour that no oen else can do and it has a certain charm doent; it? I love Kenneth Williams :D

I'm not a huge fan of comedy films - i get bored and prefer sketchs shows or short sit com episodes as it is often hard to keep up the laughs for 2 hours with the same stars and story. I think Jim Carey is so funny, but a whole film of him is highyl irritating like Dumb and Dumber. He's hilarious in the out takes though and off screen stuff. I hate rom com, and that Austin Powers crap is just nto funny. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure/Bogus Journey cracks me up though so god knows what that says about my humour. roflmao

Last film that cracked me up was American Beauty, although not comic all through it but some scenes were hilarious! roflmao

Btw sorry Serena but I hate Scary movie. I'm a huge horror fan so woudl get all the jokes, but really dont; find it funny at all. Terrible film. Spoofs can be so hit or miss cant; they? I hear Blazing Sadles is hilarious and Airplane. I saw a lesser known one that was a piss take of Fatal Attraction type movies, like the one with Sharon Stone as the lesbian with the ice pick. I can't remeber the name, but it was very funny in places.

Peter Sellers - Pink Pathers series is the funniest collection of movies I have ever watched!

I like the carry on films too, i thought Carry on matron was hillarious. Kenneth Williams is just a fantastic comedian roflmao

Airplane has such great lines:

' Surely you cant be serious'

' I am serious............ and dont call me shirley'

Peter Sellers was also in Dr. Strangelove wasn't he?

That was actually surprising funny :lmaao:

I say "surprisingly" what with the nuclear war plot and all....

We watched that 'Dude, Wheres my Car?' last night and couldnt decide if we found it highly amusing or really irritating....

SerenaW19 - August 20, 2007 07:12 PM (GMT)
