Title: Star player to answer CC'ers Questions!
Description: Well, maybe.. it's nearly in the bag!
trisco - October 28, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
Hi all,
I been doing a little bit of networking.. lol and... we may be able to put our questions soon to a top player. I won't say who yet but below is part of an emal I have sent and the response! Hope it comes off. :D
Hi there,
I am wondering if you could be of help to me, I currently help run a non profit online tennis forum where we have a growing community of serious tennis fans.
Tennis is the passion of all our members and we would dearly love the opportunity to be able to chat to one of your clients in the form of an email. Preferably, ******* or ****** etc but failing that, any other top professional player. It would mean a great amount to a tennis community if this could be possible.
Here is the reply
Thanks for your note.
We do not represent ******* so I could not help you there and ******* is booked through the end of the year. Is there another player whom we can suggest?
Best wishes.
So I have now replied stating who would like etc and who is available so hopefully I will be able to come back with some good news on Monday I guess when they reply! :D

At the moment she's on one every two years so maybe if she plays at her current level until she's 29 she'll have as many as Serena roflmao
Of course we know the Anna Kournikova syndrome will catch up with her far before then B)
I seriously doubt Maria will win that many.
If she's lucky Venus and Serena will quit making it easier for her to win a couple more Wimbledons and she'll win the USO again but that's it im afraid.

I hope you are right but I think she can win the Oz Open as well, the surface suits her and she only lost narrowly to Justine this year.
I don't think she will ever win the French but I think she will win at least 2 Slams next year at least! :(
She is only 19, she will overtake Serena unless Serena really gets going and gets back to winning ways.
That remains to be seen

Nah, only if Serena and Venus and Justine decide to boycott.
Hingis is more likely to beat her at the AO as well.
We know Serena can beat her there and hopefully so can Venus.
Lindsay would also stand a better chance against Maria at the AO, as Linds' cleaner hitting could serve her well.
I think Maria will win Wimbledon though unless V&S are fit :(

7 is alot chokie. Martina won 5 by 19 and the stopped. Who knows what will happen. Perhaps Maria will lose dedication like Serena
Even with fewer challengers now I just can't see Maria making 7 slams.
Far better players have stuggled to get that many.

Yeah but Maria is focused and she is getting better all the time.
You know I'm not her biggest fan but I think she will win quite a few and she can beat Serena and Venus.

I hope you are right but I think she can win the Oz Open as well, the surface suits her and she only lost narrowly to Justine this year. I don't think she will ever win the French but I think she will win at least 2 Slams next year at least! :( She is only 19, she will overtake Serena unless Serena really gets going and gets back to winning ways. That remains to be seen

Well fair enough...if that's your opinion. I can't say I agree with your reasoning but fair is fair
