Well, I thought this might be a tough one for Henman, but he sure took command of that first set. Hang in there, Pebs.

Pebs - October 26, 2006 03:21 PM (GMT)
and Henman levels up while they appear to be showing a repeat of his last shot!

Nick Havoc - October 26, 2006 03:23 PM (GMT)
Tim for a break here, Tim.

Pebs - October 26, 2006 03:24 PM (GMT)

I would like to see a break too - just not on Henmans serve!

Nick Havoc - October 26, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
OK, then. We'll order up a break in game 9. Then Henman can serve it out.

:yahoo:

Good lord, I just tuned in. That game was almost too scary too watch.

Some vintage Tim there, I think ... double-faulting at a crucial point, later netting a crucial volley ...

But he pulled through in the end and held! :bigwave:

I think Henman was more exhausted after having to fight for his service like that than Wawrinka was downhearted ... the Swiss holds to love.

5-4. Now Tim needs to hold serve to stay in the set.

mightyjeditribble - October 26, 2006 03:43 PM (GMT)
Some vintage S&V from Tim there to go 40-15 up, although that return from Warwinka for 40-30 wasn't bad either.

In any case, now you've had a reasonably straightforward hold, why not go on and break Stan's serve, Tim? ;)

ark_28 - October 26, 2006 03:47 PM (GMT)
Stan Hokds to 30 good hold that, next game wud be a great time to break

mightyjeditribble - October 26, 2006 03:47 PM (GMT)
Nice return from Tim there to make it 40-30. Still, no chance of a break, as it goes to 6-5. Now please hold, and end this swiftly in the tiebreak. I'm not sure my nerves can take a third set, and also I've got to get back to work!!!
