Hi Everyone,
I am glad to FINALLY find CC after hearing people talk about it on the beeb forum. It's great to see familiar posters like Tennis Veritas, Nick and Oblivion amongst others on here.
I was relatively new to the beeb when they announced it was going, my username was gavdean...and yes, isn't/aren't the troll/trolls annoying now? Surely they/he/she/it are annoying to himself/herself/themselves......I am still not sure if they are singular or plural you see.....
Anyway.....Boris is my avatar as he was the real reason I got into tennis in the mid 80's. I remember watching Borg and McEnroe finals at Wimbledon and they were great but I was very young then and the very first person I NOTICED was the young blonde German who was chasing and diving for every ball at the net and had such a powerful serve with great swing to it. I really wanted to emulate him and play some great tennis and I was only 9 back then! Unfortunately I am no Tim Henman, although I can play a bit, but I continued watching tennis and still love watching it until this day.
I look forward to posting and haivng some great conversations on this site! It's bad timing as I am off on my hols on Wednesday with my lass, but I hope to get into some serious discussions when I get back next week!

It is indeed relatively troll-free, and no doubt you will see a few other familiar posters from the beeb (pretty much all of us here started out there inititally.. :) )
