OMG I cannot choose. Both Blur and Clash are such great bands. I could not manage wthout either.

After much deliberation I'm going for the Clash because I marginally prefer that song to the Blur one and because they were there first and so influential and take me back to my youth! :D And I owe it to the late great Joe Strummer.

G&R are terrible. Bunch of has been 'cock rockers'. totally self indulgent , OTT and unoriginal. The Clash were cool, ahead of their time and pioneers as well as great song lyrics and varied styles and influences. Blur also have av ariety of infleunces and can do almost any style o music, and great lyrics and humour in there. Both bands write about real things. The music crtics rave abotu both too. Sorry we all liek what we liek but that is my opinion :D

Btw I must apoligise to the person who submitted G&R - it really isn't personal I just don't liek them or that song. :) Also One of the biggest asshole is I every had the displeasure to meet (and live with) was into them too so no redeeming features for me or good memories I 'm afraid. :( And after they crucified Bob Dylan's classic "Heaven's Door" with overdone ay-ay ay-ay-ay's that was the final straw!
