Murray won the first set 6-2; 1-1 in the third (though Murray already had break point).
Mardy fish doesn't seem to be doing too badly against X-men Malisse; he took the second set, and it's still on serve, 4-3, in the third.

5-4, still on serve, with Fish serving to stay in the match.
Headed for a tie-break, or will Malisse assert his authority by breaking Fish in one of his next service games, taking the match?

Well, well, neither is the case. Fish broke Malisse and will now serve for the match!

He did it. and will now face Nadal instead of Malisse. Well done, in any case!
Still on serve, 4-3, in the Murray match.

5-4 Murray; on serve. Now all it takes is one break of serve and Andy's through ... c'mon, you can do it! (I hope.)

Andy races to 0-30, only to be pulled back to 30 all. 30-40! Match point Murray!
But he can't convert - deuce. Advantage Pastor - deuce. Another match point for Murray. And this time he takes it, ending the match in less than 80 minutes.
Quite a test up next with Ljubicic. But well done for keeping this fairly short!
Dinky Jo - October 16, 2006 11:56 AM (GMT)
Well done Murray. I think it'll be much tougher for him aginst Ljubcic - especially considering that Ljubicic is actually in good form at the moment! Let's hope he goes in there thinking he can win, rather than assuming that because of Ljubcic's ranking he's not expected to win etc etc.

It seems to me Murray often does well when people perhaps don't expect him to win, and there's not so much pressure. So let's hope that's the case against Ljubicic!
