1. First open a new document. size 88*31
2. get the gradient tool, the copper one..

3. go from top to bottom
4. you can change hue/saturation.
should look something like this...

5. zoom right in..
edit: press layer---> new --->layer
6. make a zig zag.
7. fill with black..
should look like this..

8. select one sideof the button
like this...

9. and press edit--- cut
10. then edit--- paste
Your layers should look like this..

11.Make a new layer behind all the rest..
this will be the background
i used this for mine..

12. add some text!
13. Jump to imageready.. (ctrl-shift-M)

PART TWO!

14. ok now make a new frame
15. drag the two pieces to the side

16. your done!
you can also make the pieces go back to the center!

but my question is... can you maybe make a tutorial how to create that

you make the zig zag with the marquee tool (zoom right in!)

and that sig has taken me a long time to make, and to right a tutorial will take forever.

I'm really sorry, but what is the marquee tool? Sorry I'm really new to this.

Maybe if you have some type of IMing program it would be a little easier to explain?

second make a line.
then hold shift
make another line
then another

do u make a new layer between stepps 8 and 9

how do u save it?? i mean i can make it and then switch to image ready then make the animation but how do i save it? when i try to save it in image ready it saves it as a .psd and i cant save it as a gif :huh: im stumped can some1 help me

file---> save optimized as
save as .gif..

I can't get it to save as a .gif, I've tried the save optimized as but the only option I have is .jpg or .html. I'm not used to image ready, am I blind??? P.S. I have version 7.0 if that matters...

Only thing you need to do is tween by more frames. (So it opens and closes more smoothly)
