Well, the forums were off to a good start and then all went quiet. I love this forum too much to let it die, so I am going to try and breathe new life into our board.

Technically, I'm banned from the internet, so those of you from Legends Alliance will notice that I don't post there anymore, but I've just been made the second Admin. I am now your God. Sort of.

Anyway, over the next few weeks, Lugana and I will be trying to get this forum really moving. There'll be fortnightly writing contests with Posts-as-Prizes™, and the launch of the RPG section. But all this will require your help.

We need you to:

- find new members
If you have any friends who are remotely interested in writing, or even art, and often go on the internet, then tell them where we are. If you don't know the usual address, there's always authorsunited.cjb.net. If you're on other forums, stick DL4's lovely logo in your signature and link it to here. Anyone you can think of, just tell them about us and get them to sign up.

- create RP characters
These can be anything, from videogame and movie characters to the heroes and villains from your own writing (these would probably be best - it would be cool to have an RPG where the worlds of our books merge). If you're not sure what Forum RPing is, read the guidelines in the forums further down or, failing that, ask me, but it's basically like writing a story together, controlling your own character through the host's chosen scenario.

- most importantly, post as much as, if not more than, you usually do. Don't be afraid to put your pride and joy here - we'll read it, review it and praise it. Nothing will be stolen (if anything is stolen, tell me and I shall bring down the wrath of my BigStick™ on them!), and you'll be able to share your works with fellow writers.

I think I've said enough for now, but suffice to say, there'll be a few changes around here...
