I sit and wonder at the life that has seemed to pass me by,
A long hatred that the world has given burns deeply into my chest,
Branding my life with its self destructive qualities,
Making a lie of all I have created upon this world,
And scarring my soul for all that I allow in my own mind.

I see the world, not in bright colours that would burn my mind,
And blind my eyes, causing untold agony upon some of my weakest features,
Nor in the grey of depression, of emptiness and suicide,
Without the excuse of the twisted trees of despair, I lounge in the agony,
I lounge in the bittersweet agony of knowing only what everyone else is,
Never knowing the most important thing in this world.
What I am.

So I sit in the agony of whom and what I am not,
Knowing no rest, no peace, no simple solace among those I love,
There is a wall of unfeeling sound, of pain,
A touch that has no bearing and a soul that has no ground,
And then the light seeps, like a trickle of water on to the parched ground,
And I move away afraid.

The colour moves swiftly and adds to its own power,
Like a rushing river it holds me in place as I cannot move back,
There is too much simple wonder upon this weathered and beaten face.
And my life up unto now fades like the setting sun,
Falling into the hatred and destroying it,
Leaving naught but a warm peace that is far stronger than any wine

Beautiful, yet depressing.

Do you see what i mean, guys. Demon is brilliant.
