Merely by looking at the title of this Weekly Thought, you can tell that most should be taken with a grain of salt. These are, however, my serious ideals, so don't make too much fun of me ;)
Think about a large state, such as New York, with large cities. These areas are able to be watched at all times, just from public service areas. Anywhere you go, your under a camera, making it easy to keep a tag on a single person. How can you do so, however, in a rural state? With lesser populations and smaller cities, it would be hard to keep such a mass web of vision. But what do you find in rural states, mainly the middle states? The amish.
Haven't you ever stopped and wondered why they willingly let themselves live in a life far below 80% of the population? They submit themselves to the hard rigors of farm work, sickness with limited cures, and no electricity. Why would anyone do this? But what if they were really government agents, hiding as mennonites? Is it really that outlandish?
Here comes the 'But I've been on a tour of an Amish town, you're just full of crap' speech. Said theory is easily dismissed. It is entirely possible that they are merely coverups, void of any items that might give themselves away. These tours, also, are only of limited areas. Why, do you think, that they would willingly let themselves be watched by people they believe are sinning? And why do we not see different groups of Amish, rather then the same old towns?
And what about the numerous barns they have erected? Could it be possible that each is filled with computers and gadgets? Is it probable that their water towers are merely antennaes, hidden in a metal shell? Could the young man you see churning butter be the same man you saw on the subway, only weeks ago?
As I said, I take these theories seriously, though I doubt anyone else will. I am open for debate on this subject, for any that wish to do so.
Desponded out.
