So this is the beginning of my new story... Soooo... Have fun... I have a couple of chapter, but they're being put through severe editing... But I want to know how other people react to it. This is just the preface... I couldn't fit all the info I wanted in the actual story and make it flow... So I decided to just give basic info in the beginning...

There is a war that you would never have heard of. It started surely before your time. It is the war between the Guardians and Protectors. This war wages on even now, in the darkness of the night and even light of day.

No body knows the cause of the war. Yet those on each side continue to fight. Each side – being of about two-hundred-fifty each – is lead by a group of five who follow one set leader. These groups of five for each side are referred to as the Elite. Being one of the Elite requires an enormous amount of talent. The ones who lead even them are known as the Masters. For the Guardians, that Master is Nova, and for the Protectors it is Kayne. Only the Masters know the true reason behind the war. But they refuse to part with such knowledge.

Protectors and Guardians have special blood in them to help them fight. The Guardian’s blood is passed generation through generation, while the blood of a Protector is given through a ceremony upon finishing training.

Guardians are chosen by being the first born in a family. They have parents willing to sacrifice their child for victory. Protectors, however, are chosen from a grouping of orphans. One of these orphans is chosen from a group. How they are chosen is a secret kept within the circle of the Elite and Master.

The two sides have an interesting way of ranking. They go by numbers, with the lower the number meaning the higher the position. The Master has no number, as they are solely known as ‘Master’. The Elite are numbered one through five.

On each side, they have a headquarters. No one from the other side may trespass – if they do they will be killed on sight as agreed by both parties. Inside headquarters is Intelligence. They find the people on the other side. Those on the other side usually have an alias so Intelligence is much needed in the search. Guardians and Protectors are usually far too busy to be bothered with the search. When found, each side waits for a specified time and place, and then battle to the death. Mercy is rarely shown.

This sounds like an interesting setup for a story - you have certainly thought about it alot.

Personally, whether I like a story depends a lot more on whether I like the characters, so I would be interested in reading a chapter and getting to know some of the people in this world...even if it's not completly edited yet :D
