I was just spending some time reading the thread about attracting more members to AU, and it occurred to me that Author's University is almost completely inactive, which is a shame. It is a wonderful tool and shouldn't be forgotten.

Does anyone have the time to help bring it back to life?

Authors University is a section of the forum (can be found in Writing Discussion) where people can post advice (either their own or someone elses) about writing etc or perhaps a place for refence material like good websites and books.

I agree, it is a section (well like the whole website I guess) that could do with being cared for a bit more. I'll keep my eye out and actually try and remember to post things up, but as with everything time (or lack of) is just such a pain.

My uni workload should be a little more manageable this term, and i'm hoping to earn some writing time. In doing so, i pledge to dedicate more time to this forum, including updating the Authors University.

I apologise for my lack of activity but with a uni course to study, two jobs, a scout troop to run and scouting events to attend, a news summary to record for a podcast, a blog to maintain, a news series of 24 to keep up to date with, friends to socialise with and pints to be drunk, i seem to lack the time to write.

There's no need to apologise. we're all busy, that's just the way life goes. I think we can all try and come on here and contribute more, but it's nothing that we should do. Sometimes as much as we would like it otherwise, some things just have to come first.

I guess you ARE busy, Thought Fox. And to think, I thought I was busy. ... Lol! You've definitely got me beat!

I know what you mean about not having enough time. There just isn't enough hours in a day a lot of the time. But I am going to try to contribute more to Author's University too.

How do you find time to do it all, Thought Fox? You must be ready to fly the coop.

man, you would think that with two jobs you'd be outta your parents house already. living hard on your own kinda sucks, but christ almighty it beats living with your family when you're in your twenties.
