Please tell me what you think. It's about someone who inspires me.
Julia Andrews Edwards is an actor, and an author. Julia is always helpful, and supportive to everyone.
Julia has appeared in 22 movies, including, the Princess Diaries, Shrek 2, and Mary Poppins. Since, 1957 Julia has won at least 31 awards. Including, Emmy, and Golden Globes Awards. On top, Julia has many nominations, and honors.
A famous book on its 30th Anniversary Edition Julia has written is, “The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles.” This book is still in print, and in a high demand. Her most recently released book is, “The Great American Mousical.” Julia has written, “Simeon's Gift, Mandy, Dragon (Hound of Honor), and Little Bo in France: The Further Adventures of Bonnie Boadicea”, just to name a few. Overall, Julia has written many books.
The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles was the most astounding book I have ever read. While reading that, particular, book I felt like I was watching a movie. The imagery, descriptive scenery, and imagination that Julia poured into the book was astounding. I was so enthralled, all I could think about is I want to be able to write like her.
With the book as my inspiration, I enrolled in a creative writing class. In addition to creative writing exercises that took the form of games, like charades, and telephone, we also learned life skills, such as how to prepare a job application and cover letter.
Through the course of the class, I have become being fond of writing. The teacher, Miss Smith, not only encouraged me, but I also discovered a passion for writing that I embrace to this day. By the end of the class, I was writing my own fiction without her input. I loved doing this, since I was able to write freely with my imagination, and make my writing any way I could ever imagine. Periodically, I waited, just for this particular class to begin. This was my favorite time of day, and place I could enjoy myself.
While I write, the words seem to bypass my brain and flow directly to the pencil. Often, I do not fully grasp the context and plot of my stories until I read them. Writing is an open process for me. I rarely encumber myself with the mechanical detalils of a rough draft or brainstorm. I write because I have the passion and a driving need to write. I rarely show my work. Writing is someone’s imagination put into words.
I am just so grateful I was able to find something that astounds me, and is so full of passion. I could thank Julia Edwards anytime. For writing that book which showed me, I have a passion for writing, too.
I love channeling my wildest dreams and fantasies onto the written page. I could no longer imagine my life without creative writing and it is all because Julia Edwards wrote a book.
If I ever needed any help, I would ask Julia Andrews Edwards. She could definitively help me with anything.
I think with some more practice, you'll make a fantastic writer.
Here are a few tips and suggestions that I hope you will find helpful.
You used "Julia" a little to much in the beginning of your work. You could've said "she" instead, and your reader would've understood who you were talking about. For example:
Julia is a great actress. She has starred in numerous films including: "The Princess Diaries", "Shrek 2", and "Mary Poppins."
Notice how I put the title of her movies in quotes? That's the way most people write them to make it less confusing for readers.
Once you started writing about your love for writing, your work flowed a lot better, and I was surprised at how well your work began to flow.
With that said, I think you have great potential as a writer.
Unfortunately, I'm beginning to think that writing is a never ending learning process. I've been writing for years, and it seems that I've always got things I'm doing wrong. I guess it just comes with the trade.
There are wonderful resources for writers on the Internet. I'll see if I can find them, and post them here.
The "Author's University" has some really good articles that you might like. It's in the "writing's discussion" forum.
Good luck with your work!
