Title: The Infantry

aidanjareth - July 5, 2006 05:53 PM (GMT)
A fictitious diary detailing the activities and escapades of a splinter group of the French Legion known as 'The Infantry' at the turn of the 20th century.

More a daily writing tool for me, but it's good to have an audience as well.

If you're confused, all part of the experience.

Thanks,

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Well I'm afraid I haven't got time to read through all the entries, but I have read todays one.

I'm intreguied as to how you've come up with this idea. The Character profile is very detailed, you have obvuosly put a lot of thought into this. I liked the fact that the guy is abit embarrassed about writing about himself.

This looks like a very good writing tool for you and, although I can not garentee I will be a regular reader, I will try and look at it as I'm interested to see how you develope it.

Thanks for your response.

The idea actually came from looking at the photo of the five soldiers in the first post on the site, and having been in need of something to discipline me to write everyday, after finding a very easy and natural voice for the narrator, I just felt I should continue writing.

In terms of the details and coming up with the ideas, because everything is so free form at the moment, and details can be left out to some extent, and I can develop as I go anything is fair game, so I just leave everything to what jumps into my brain.

Thanks for reading, please check back once in awhile. My attempt is to post every day and eventually develop a regular reader audience, but we'll see what happens, and whether people enjoy it is probably the main point.

Thanks again.
