Yeah.. so I couldn't figure out where to put this until after I posted it... :P silly me...
Ahem… so, I came here for help on my work, so I might as well “get it out in the open.” Well, I have been trying to work it into a summary-type form, shorter than a five page description telling what happens to all of the characters through the course of the story… So let’s try now…
At first, all is well, Sylatria and her family are happy and she is in love with Audrick. One day, tragedy strikes, Sylatria’s father and older brother are brutally murdered. While grieving, Sylatria has the strangest feeling that someone is following her… She stays with Audrick, but it does no good, the man who killed her father and brother kidnaps her and takes her to a place that would be hard for anyone to find and is not under the rule of any kingdom; hidden within the mountains and the forests.
She is terrified, upset, angry, and hates the fact that she is face to face with the killer. Reeston is his name. He has kidnapped her to try to explain why he has done this… to try to get Sylatria to understand… riiight, like Sylatria will understand why he killed two members of her family… He just wants her to listen, and he won’t let her go until she does… fine, she’ll listen… When Reeston was young, his older brother was completely consumed with evil, so much that eventually it caused him (his brother) to take his own life. Horrendously evil things that his brother and other members of his family did caused his family’s evil reputation, but the truth of the matter was that they did not really want to be evil and they never had. Long ago there was a war where one of Reeston’s ancestors fought and one of Sylatria’s ancestors was a healer. It just happened to be that Reeston’s ancestor needed to be healed and when that happened, the medicine that Sylatria’s ancestor used turned Reeston’s ancestor evil. From then on, Reeston’s family was evil whether they liked it or not.
Once Reeston’s brother had killed himself, Reeston’s other family had fled, feeling that they had wronged both Reeston and his brother. After seeing what Reeston’s family had done to the kingdom over time, the royal family of Kingdom Belthwis (the kingdom that Reeston had grown up in) banished him and sent him to the kingdom across the land (Kingdom Verishen), of which they were rivals. They left him outside, seeing as they had made an agreement to be silent to one another, but people of Kingdom Verishen found Reeston and beat and tortured him, making him their toy. Luckily, Reeston eventually escaped but sadly went through years of serious depression and emotional torture. By the time he was able to make sense of everything again, he set out to get get revenge on the family that did this to him and his family… Sylatria’s family. However, by the time that he had actually killed Sylatria’s father and brother, he was so overcome with guilt that he didn’t know what to do except to kidnap Sylatria and try to explain why everything was the way it was… and now that’s why Sylatria was face to face with the man who murdered her father and brother… At that point, Sylatria was a little bit more than shocked… but she told Reeston that it still didn’t make it okay… but he already knew that. He didn’t let her go after she listened to him, but only because he had fallen in love with her and he didn’t know what else to do…
By now, Audrick was looking for Sylatria, but he had no idea where to look. He had started going north, toward the Enabrith Mountains, but Sylatria and Reeston were actually south of where he was, between the Enabrith Forests and the Jeseila Mountains…
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b353/ech...e_planet001.jpgI’m still working on this part, adding detail, but Sylatria falls in love with Reeston as well, and she is scared and wonders why she feels this way about him when she still loves Audrick and should only be in love with Aurdick especially after what Reeston did. Audrick is still trying to find Sylatria and that will be a whole story in itself, but Sylatria and Reeston grow closer and Reeston’s assistant, who Reeston never really wanted in the first place, has a plan of his own… he leads Audrick off course so that Reeston and Sylatria can make a baby, for the assistant’s real master is not Reeston, but Nekpana (the evil enchantress) who is, in fact, behind everything. She was the one who made Reeston’s family evil in the first place, and her goal was for Reeston to be used in taking over the world and being magically dominant over everyone… but now that Reeston and his family have not liked the fact that they are evil, and now he has even told Sylatria that he doesn’t want to be evil… Nekpana needed a new plan… So she is going to turn Sylatria and Reeston’s baby into her own personal tool for achieving world domination. And she will raise that baby herself to be completely evil, and to listen to only her… She was the one that made Reeston and Sylatria fall in love, and controlled Sylatria and Reeston having a baby... and all of this then goes into the end of the first book, where Sylatria is rescued by Audrick and they find out she’s pregnant, Audrick is outraged, but then she goes missing once more… Audrick of course thinks that it is Reeston who took her, but he did not, it was Nekpana who has stolen the baby from Sylatria’s womb and has forced it into young adulthood in a matter of months using the mother-baby bond and her own powers… the beginning of book 2 has Sylatria being found in a completely random spot, nude, wet, and not remembering a thing.. she has been reborn… it is not until a few days later that she remembers everything she has ever been through in her entire life and goes through the incredibly painful process of recovering her memory… soon she will remember what happened those past few months…but will it be in time to save her child?
That's only a bit of the whole story and I'm still not done. Things keep coming to me and everything is still a bit messed up. That's the basics, though... I guess that's about as good as I'm going to get with a summary at the moment, though I feel like I'm leaving a lot out. So what do you think?
