Based off the unfinished novel

Rpg Era: Fantasy

Rpg Type: Adventure (Mixed with a romantic story)

Setting:

Let us begin by referring back to the world of my infamous unfinished work “Clairc”, which is in fact the setting of this RPG. The world is composed of many different kingdoms. Each kingdom has a different culture and dialect, and sometimes even a different language.

Inhabiting the central and northern forests is the lunar race (Which have a striking resemblance to the elves found in “The Lord of the Ring”). Their intelligence far surpasses our own. Which is, ironically enough, why they hate us. They believe that humans are an inferior race that will over populate and are “destined” to destroy the planet. Some lunars have Seer abilities and can make some very actuate prophecies.

I have a few kingdoms already created in my outline, but I will not share them here. I plan to explore the world with you, seeing it for the first time though our characters eyes.

Story:

The story will be a bit long, but it’s worth it. It begins with the characters Clairc and Lugana. A rebellion has begun in the city of Maran in the Western Kingdoms. Clairc, Lugana, and their company were ordered to put a stop to it. As they fought the rebels in the city, an enemy king decided to take advantage of the situation and attacked Maran. While Clairc and Lugana were escaping, they took a rebel named Serenity captive. Clairc decided, being the superior officer, to take her over allied boarders to Gyia. When he arrived there he found the city in ruins, where he meets Damian. Soon afterwards, he learns of a prophecy that a great phoenix king will arise from the West and face the oncoming evil of Damian.

Characters: (A few were pre-chosen)

Clairc Valor Rose (Green Child)– This is one of the more complex characters in the story. Clairc is notable for being primarily a loner. At first he comes off as cold and deeply distrustful. His company and his superiors regard him as difficult to deal with but greatly respect his loyalty, courage and intelligence. However, Clairc gradually warms as the story progresses, and is later revealed that his deliberate detachment from his companions is a defensive mechanism in order to protect himself from emotional pain like he experienced when his parents were killed by his older half brother, Damian. His personality warms considerably once his fear of losing those close to him is dragged out into the open by Serenity and confronted. He was a tall, sandy haired swordsman for the Shomoro army until he discovered his destiny. Eventually, he finds out that he is a powerful phoenix warrior like his brother.

Lugana Charity Ericks (Lugana)- An energetic half-lunar with remarkable swordsmanship. He is peace loving and is always willing to help others. He tends to have a positive outlook on life even in the most desperate situations. His happy-go-lucky style tends to land him in a bit of trouble from time to time, and his unbreakable habit of heroism causes the party to become involved in things that could be avoided otherwise. At first, sparks fly between Clairc and Lugana, but as Clairc warms as story progresses, they build a strong friendship. He also finds out later that he is a powerful phoenix warrior.

Serenity Faith Loving (Three)- A passionate rebel that fights for anything good and true. Outspoken, spirited, emotional and compassionate, Serenity is in many ways the polar opposite of the cold and unsociable Clairc. Although their personalities do clash at first, Clairc and Serenity gradually fall in love. She may not have the potency of the other party members, but with a bow and arrow she can be very vigorous.

Silhouette Tempestra (aleana15)- A tough as nails half-lunar that wields a giant boomerang. Although she is a gifted warrior, she has a stubborn, arrogant, and sometimes unpredictable nature. She made it a practical hobby to poke fun and sometimes hurt Lugana, while truly being fascinated by Lugana’s happy-go-lucky ways. She warmed to him, trying her best not to show it, believing it to be a weakness. Her crush only grew overtime.

Damian Vigor Rose (Lugana)- The most formidable demonic phoenix warrior that ever lived, Damian is a being of extreme evil, though not insane, as one would assume. He is capable of leveling city with a single Demonic wave and has no regard for human life. Fully aware of the prophesy of the Lunars, that a light phoenix warrior would rise against him, he became obsessed with the dream of becoming all powerful. After he overtook the king of the Western Kingdoms, he sought for the neutral energy of the planet, by which he could absorb the power becoming "a living god", theoretically incapable of dying. He is Clairc’s half-brother on his mother side. Clairc and his party end up venturing out to defeat him, in hopes of preventing him from ever fulfilling his dream of becoming a God.


Joshua Matthew Shields (The Though Fox)– A cunning, wisecracking, womanizing, “treasure hunter”. He is more then fair with his daggers and his speed and skill with a lock pick is unparalleled. He won't admit it, but at times Joshua uses his skills for theft. He prefers to be considered a treasure hunter and easily intimidated by anyone who refers to him as a thief. His first meeting with Clairc’s party was during their first encounter with Damian. Clairc saved Joshua from an untimely demise and from then on, Joshua felt that it was his duty to return the favor. He joined Clairc’s party not knowing that his actions would someday become intertwined with the fate of the world.

Auditioning:

I know it is hard to find time to audition so I am going to make this easy. Pick a character and then tell me why that character suits you. The only character I am going to require an actual audition for is Lugana (And maybe Clairc). To obtain one of the phoenix warriors, you need to write a part of a battle seine where an energy wave is used. Follow the tutorial I created in the Writing Discussion section. If you constuct a energy shield as well you will gain some extra points.

When you receive your character, you need to try your best to match your writing with the character’s personality.

okay... here is my audition. i hope im doing it in the right place..... oh btw if i have misunderstood the limitations of the char power/energy shield i appologise

Claric was enjoying a short peace from battle. his sword was resting easily on one hip while on the other was a new dirk taken from his last battle. He was walking in a clearing surrounded by beautiful woodland. his grey green eyes missed nothing. he was a veteren in the truest sense but he never wanted to be one, more than that he was lucky. he had to be because he survied. he was lucky again.
a focused wave of demonic energy, was launched straight at him and he dived to the side, drawing his swords. the wave bearly licked his legs but it even so it did hurt.
Three shadowed and masked men moved towards him and time seemed to slow. from behind him, in this frozen sevcond he drew energy which had not been touched by the wave, pushing outward with it he formed a ball and rapped the sheild around him. he smled easily.
"Evening lads. that's very rude you know."his words were meant as a distraction even as spoke he began to draw energy into him so they should be oblivious.
they moved in closer warybut they hadn't raised shields.
One spoke "make this easy boy." he muttered and another wave came at him, his sheild rippled but held firm. The power in him was begining to itch, soon if it was not realised it would hurt.
"Why?"
"Because your brother sends his love" replied the masked man. It froze him. only for a moment, but it did. then Claric replied smiling tightly
"tell him I send mine...better yet I'll tell him my self" in one last distracting movement he threw his dirk into the closests man throat.he choked dying. even as they ran towards him he shouted "ENERGY WAVE!!!!!!" the anger and frustration, powered by his gift ripped like a caged beast and channelled through his sword to burn so brightly that he had to close his eyes. He fell to his kness, all power gone and feeling sick he opened his eyes. All that was left was ash drifting on the breeze and hot moulten metal that once was a dirk.

"I hate you my brother and you will pay in blood......." he said sheathing his sword and buring under combat his soul.

I'd like to play Joshua Matthew Shields. He sounds like the most fun character, and my writing skills and style do not yet extend to the serious, deep characters that you and GC seem to excel at. More importantly, he is a thief, a character type i have spend a lot of time writing about and a lot of gaming time RPing with.

You did good GC. The guess the energy shield can be used to stop weak energy waves, though I never thought of it myself. The character is yours. That is if no one else tries out before I close the auditioning Friday night. I like how you personalized him to fit your writing style. Be sure you read and reread all the character descriptions before we start. This is important because you will be the main character.

You will be the leader of the party. This comes with the responsibility of leading us in what you believe to be the best course of action. We can brain storm though PMs and I will use Lugana to help you along, but I will not revel to you the entire storyline. When you lead, you will not always know what will happen next. Good luck GC!

As for you Though Fox, I made this character thinking of you. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can play this character like you. He is yours hands down. I was going to have him come in when they meet Damian, but if you find a way to bring him in after we escape the city in the beginning, be my guest. Good Luck TF!

As for me, I will play Lugana and Damian. (I don’t need to wish myself luck)

That leaves only Aria open. If no one wants her by Friday, Three has already agreed to take her as well.

lugana could i have claric start with neutral energies/soul by any chance as I do believe that he might be a littl scarred de to his past and brother, at first not above a little torture for the greater good maybe and progress untill he is honourable through compaion interaction?

Yeah, the neutral energy and the killing for the greater good like sounds a good idea. Just remember, he doesn’t know that he is a phoenix warrior until he enters the Lunar Forest, and then still doubts it. That is where he also learns that Damian is his brother and who his parents were. As for fearing his brother, the way he meets Damian would put fear into anyone.

Can I write for Aria De Desperado? She sounds like a really interesting charater. I don't think I've ever written a character like that before but I have read similar characters in books. Plus I always enjoy a challenge :D

Congrats, GC. The only person i can think of that could do that char other than you is Lugana, simply because he created him, and i have a feeling you'll do an even better job than he would!

I agree with Thought Fox. GC, you were meant for that character. I know, even as the creator, that I can’t pull him off nearly as skillfully as you can. Break a leg.

“Clairc” will start tomorrow night. I will need to auto Clairc and Serenity in the starting post, but then I will turn them completely over to GC and Three. Aria and Joshua can appear anytime after the initial escape from the city of Maran.
