How Much You Are Missed
By: Daniel F. Honsvick
I miss the way you looked at me,
With those loving eyes,
I miss the way you talked to me,
Telling me you were mine.
I miss the warmth of your hug,
And the comfort in your kiss,
All these things I loved so much,
All of these I can’t help but miss.
True love is rare indeed,
In our passing course of time,
I sometimes pray that you love me,
During the nights that I cry.
I want to forgive and forget,
Even when people say I am wrong,
But if God says he forgets,
Why should I miss you this long.
You are my soul mate,
My god given gift,
And I hope it not too late,
To tell you how much you’re missed.

I have been getting into writing poetry lately. I am still not much of a poet, so that’s why I am asking for your constructive criticism right now. This is the first time I have used this beat. How do you like it?

...which is also good.
No, it's great, Lugana. It has a nice pleasant rhythm to it, and the words have a nice 'feel' to them (if that makes sense!)
