Tree Swing

If one of my wishes came true,
I hope it would be the one with you.
I wish we’d live near a meadow of flowers,
With a tree swing where we’d spend most our hours.

We’d swing there all day and all night,
Even when the stars and fireflies become our only lights.
As we swing there we’d hold each other,
Whispering how much we love one another.

When the stars return to their dens in the sky,
And when the firefly’s lights begin to die.
We would gaze deeply into each other’s eyes,
And engage in a true love’s kiss until the sun finished its rise.

Rosie, take my hand and don't be afraid,
I believe that together, this wish will be made.
I never doubt my feelings for you,
And if you return them, all our hopes and wishes will come true.

Yes, I know I have not been around for a long time and I don’t know how long I will stay this time. It’s just the founding admin dropping in again to say hello.

How do you like my poem?

heya Lugana! It's been ages, how are you?

and I like your poem! It has real atmosphere when you describe the surroundings. The only nit pick I have is sometimes the odd line is longer that the rest, but that only affcets it when you read it aloud :)

That was great. You can really feel the emotion and picture the night.

And, of course, it's always nice to see our founder poke his head through the door when he can.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. You know me, I am always off somewhere with some excuse why I cannot write my friends. It has been hectic in this month and I am glad that I can finally get back to my writing and begin to live in peace once more.

Thank you Dragon Lady for your comment. I will try to change those lines you pointed out to better fit the poem.

And it is always nice to hear from you Thought Fox. You are going to have to bring me up to date on what I have missed these last months.
