| National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30. |
I'm not going to copy-paste the whole thing into the thread, so go visit the site for
more info :D

30 days???????? 175 pages??????? That's impossible. I couldn't do it, I've got work, uni, a social life.....well, maybe not the latter, but i have uni and work.
Still, let's have a shufty...

it still could be done unless you have already written most of it. and probably a4 pages.

I had a read. The actual qualifying limit is 50,000 words and you MUST start from scratch. No bringing stuff in from previous stories, no copying and pasting chapters. You have to start from scratch. i might have a go, but not in november. We could do one here in January or something!

It does sound quite fun...but half of my dealines this term seem to be in November :(
Perhaps we could do something similar just over 2 months - that would still be a challenge for me!!

Yeah! Who's busy over December/January? We can do it then, cos most of us have January off and we all have Christmas off.

Apart from those who have exams in January :(

Well, when would be the best time for you?
What if we did November, December AND January. Then everyone would have plenty of time.
