Title: A question that is annoying me

Well to start of this question has its root in god so if you don't belive in a god then you may find it hard to answer at all and even so i doubt anyone can give ma a satifactory answer.
The question itself is about creation. Suffice to say that i have studied scientist explanation about the begining of the universe and found it impossible so i have concluded there is a god and there was a creation. With that said then creation must have a purpose and my question is, What is that purpose? I have thought long and hard but i can't think of anything.

I have had the idea that perhaps it is impossible to know because to get that answer one must understand the thoughts of something which isn't human, doesn't think like humans and is superior to humans in every possible way. It is like an animal (of your choice) trying to understand our minds.
Yet even having thought of that i still try to work out its purpose and haven't yet come to a conclusion.

I was wondering if any of you lot have thought along these lines before and if so, what conclusion have you come to (if any)

p.s TF if this is in the wrong section don't hesitate to move it. I'm not really asking for advice on my life so it doesn't really belong here but i didn't know where else to put it.

hmmm, i'm afraid no your probably not the only one to have asked that... i am still trying to figure it out.. so i have no conclusion to it.. not sure there will ever be there doesn't seem to be an apparent reason... 'The meaning of life' and 'the purpose of life' just don't want to give us answers...
sorry i'm a bit stuck on this one so it'll be interesting to see what others say- put diff perspectives on it... maybe its what purpose u make it?? ok i'm starting to babble now.... and guess options... <_< -_-

life can be whatever you make of it but if the universe was created then i must assume that there was a real reason for it.

well, look at it like this: We hardly know each other's purposes. Some of us have found no purpose.

We have not explored the whole universe

Maybe God is just using us like we use the Sims. For entertainment. lol

I disagree with you kia. although he was religious aristotle offered a great point about frienship, that no natter what action you take, no matter what time you use, it affects other ppl and therefore friendship could be seen as the goal of life, beacause a good friend is worth five million ass holes. Maybe thats the meaning

My perspective, though it also includes that, is that we can never understand Gods, we are like ants to them, lovely, mind boggingly simple ants, and though they hear us our goals are not theirs. Maybe the simple answer is that its a tests. to see if the ants can become better than they are, to see if we can actually care. As much as it would be a test for us, it would also be a test for them and as long as we love each other (BACK OFF JAMES...DONT MAKE ME HURT YOU.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) it matters.

If you want I can post an essay formulating this idea in relation to the meaning of God that I did the other day.

If you have already written it then i would quite like to read it. I think i agree in that we will never understand god but i will seek an answer all the same. I doubt i will ever find one but even so i will look for one.
