Here is where we talk about favey food ^_^

Kaithar - May 26, 2005 09:45 PM (GMT)
has anyone ever tried caviar, i've always wondered what its like.

stressederica33 - May 26, 2005 10:40 PM (GMT)
nope.... what is it exactly?

Kaithar - May 27, 2005 08:27 AM (GMT)
fish eggs, I don't think i'll like them but i still want to try.

DragonLady4 - May 27, 2005 11:44 AM (GMT)
they're salty...or so I've heard.

aleana15 - May 27, 2005 04:31 PM (GMT)
*Walks in with a red face after sitting in the sun after her exam B) *

Hmm, very salty. I had some in Russia (on pancakes!), and it was so salty that I couldn't eat it - I don't even like a little bit of salt on chips!

Oh, and their eggs from the sturgeon fish ^_^

Kaithar - May 27, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
i might like them then? i like things salty (if they are the sortof food that is nice with salt)

aleana15 - May 28, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
well I guess if you like salt then you might like them. Certainly try it if you ever get the chance. I think they eat caviar quite a lot in France as well

aine - May 30, 2005 09:28 AM (GMT)
i've eaten caviar before!
it does infact taste salty..and fishy.
i had takoyaki yesterday! it was GOOD!!!

Kaithar - June 1, 2005 12:15 AM (GMT)

aine - June 7, 2005 08:34 PM (GMT)
me and my mum went to a japanese restraunt and tokayaki was on the menu.

The Thought Fox - June 9, 2005 07:25 PM (GMT)
Well, i've developed a taste for fajitas recently. Very nice! With cheese and lettuce, too.

stressederica33 - June 9, 2005 07:56 PM (GMT)
hmm tortillas...

aleana15 - June 11, 2005 09:09 PM (GMT)
But sometimes you just can't beat good old English food - like fish and chips by the sea!

stressederica33 - June 11, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)

aine - June 12, 2005 09:22 AM (GMT)

Rapture_Taylore - June 12, 2005 03:52 PM (GMT)

Kaithar - June 14, 2005 06:43 PM (GMT)

and why do i get the feeling that this thread will become one where every post is.

{insert food here} is so nice. *drools*

aine - June 14, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
what else are you supposed to talk about on this thread..apart from food?!

aleana15 - June 15, 2005 11:40 AM (GMT)
good point

At least we have a thread where we can puposly talk about food, other then it filling up every other tread.

So what's the stangest food that people have had?

I've had frogs legs and cow's toungue before - not at the same time I might add

The Thought Fox - June 15, 2005 01:03 PM (GMT)
The strangest food i had was my famous Standable L-Shaped Pizza ™

Kaithar - June 16, 2005 12:32 PM (GMT)
errmm. i don't really know what the strangest food i have had is.

and my comment was one saying that we shouldn't talk about food, it was more of one saying that it is pointless to continuesly say, oh this food is nice,
so is this,
and this,

I could see this thread becoming like that.

The Thought Fox - June 21, 2005 12:12 PM (GMT)
And if it did, i would close it, but then again, that's what this thread is about

Kaithar - June 21, 2005 08:15 PM (GMT)
this thread isn't about that, it is about the discussion of food not random comments of this food is nice.

Erm................ Explain yourself counselor!

The Thought Fox - June 22, 2005 10:19 AM (GMT)
Very well. This is one of my classics.

Makin pizzas in home economics at school years ago. I rolled out my base, but I rolled it wrong so i became a long oval shaped base. Now when it was on the worktop it didn't seem a problem.

When i had to put it in the oven, it was a different matter. The pizza wouldn't fit lengthways, but it didn't quite fit sideways either. The only solution was to fold up one of the ends and cook it like that.

This would have been fine had i not left it in there too long and burned it. The result was that the folded bit cooked solid so when i took the pizza out, part of the end was vertical. And it was so well cooked that if you stood the pizza on that end, it didn't fall over.

And so the Standable L-Shaped Pizza™ was invented!

 hmm. home ec- that brings bk memories... :)

aleana15 - June 23, 2005 09:07 AM (GMT)
My first lesson in home ec was...how to make a packed lunch - and I had to demontrate that particular skill on open evening!!

I think the best thing I made was chocolate eclairs - 'terrible' really didn't do them justice!

stressederica33 - June 23, 2005 08:27 PM (GMT)
hmm i remember pizza and sandwich making,..... oh and saus rolls... hmmm...

Rapture_Taylore - June 26, 2005 04:48 PM (GMT)
I made a chocolate cheese cake it was encorperating two of may favourate foods! Chocolate and Cheese mmmmmm

stressederica33 - June 26, 2005 07:57 PM (GMT)
hmm that sounds gorgeous.... i fancy choc... hmmm

DragonLady4 - June 26, 2005 08:10 PM (GMT)
what the...? Only you TF, only you...

Strangest food, perhaps raw pizza

Basically was in italy, ordered italian thying off menu, got big bread base with raw tomatoes (ew) and raw mozzerella on it  not best pizza I ever had

The Thought Fox - June 28, 2005 08:51 PM (GMT)
Raw steak's the wierdest one. When i was on the French exchange, a friend of mine was given a steak dinner, but it was so raw it was blue. Why do people eat it raw??

aleana15 - June 29, 2005 05:39 PM (GMT)
I couldn't.

I had beef in France that wasn't blue, but there was certainly plenty of red juices coming out of it, and I just had to tell them that I really couldn't eat it.

The frog's legs I had were actallu quite nice though

Kaithar - June 30, 2005 09:15 PM (GMT)
you like your beef well done then?
and i can't say that i have ever had frogs legs but i will if i ever get a good opportunity to try them

The Thought Fox - July 2, 2005 08:24 PM (GMT)
We were offered snails the second time i went to france with school. I was going to try it, but one of the snails in our tray looked like it had genitals, which really put me off my food.

Not really bothered that i haven't tried french food.

stressederica33 - July 2, 2005 09:15 PM (GMT)
ohhh lol... hmm not gd,...
like crossiants etc though,.,, pain au choc.. hmmm.. :D
