Now that the Pope has died, I keep hearing all these really great things about what he did for the world. So I thought he deserved a post on our forum to celebrate his life.

Did you know he was shot by a crazy Turkish man, and then when he was recovered, went to the man in prison and forgave him? Most people would go to prison to attack the person.

Yeah he done great stuff. More then any other pope. R.I.P.

Why do younger people only find out about the good things that older people have done when the older people die? i'm still learning the good things he did. RIP.

I admire the way he pressed on, even as he became weaker. RIP.

He certainly was a well respected man, and not just respected by catholics either.

I remember when I went to Krakow in Poland the whole place was buzzing because the Pope was due to visit in the next few days. They were re-covering the roads and everything, and the waitress we spoke to said its always extra special when he went there because thats where he came from.
